The BACKBONE Pro is honestly one of the best things you can get if you’re into mobile gaming. As soon as I snapped it onto my phone, it felt like I was holding a legit handheld console. The buttons are super responsive, the joysticks are smooth, and it’s really comfortable to use, even during long sessions. Whether I was playing Call of Duty Mobile or Genshin Impact, everything felt way more fun and way easier to control.The Backbone app is also pretty awesome. It keeps all your games in one place, lets you record gameplay, chat with friends, and even stream if you’re into that. It works perfectly with stuff like Xbox Cloud Gaming and PlayStation Remote Play too. Plus, it has smart extras like a headphone jack and charging port, so you don’t have to give anything up while playing. If you play games on your phone a lot, this thing is 100% worth picking up.

This fits my Galaxy Z Fold 7 and iPhone 14 Pro Max (using a lighting to USB C adapter I bought separately). The set up is easy, just got to figure out the buttons and configurations at first. It’s great for COD Mobile, Metalstorm and FPS games. It’s very comfortable and life, feels like a PS4 controller in my opinion. It charges very fast via USB C and you can still charger your phone and the remote while in use. It’s a great controller all around. Only complaint I have is that sometimes it disconnects on me mid play , not sure if it’s just me or if I tap or the buttons that causes that. Annoying sometimes… But other that that, I would recommend as it’s definitely worth it!

I’m marking this as one star so that anyone who’s worried about what they might be getting will see this and if read hopefully understand why I believe this device if working well without defect deserves a perfect five star rating despite its shortcomings…Mine bricked on me after only a few days of use…It was fine one minute then all of a sudden none of my phones where able to detect it when attached rather if I had the charger plugged into its USB C port or not…It just wouldn’t change no matter how long I left it attached and the electric pass through wouldn’t reach my phones when I tried charging it with one of them attached…THAT having been said I have the Backbone One and it’s my genuine opinion these guys normally make GREAT stuff so I just won the unlucky draw this time unfortunately & am a little too tight on cash at the moment to be trying another go at this…But when it was working and if you are still reading this and interested in getting one you shouldn’t think about it just as buttons for your phone like the Backbone One but rather a way to use any phone as a controller for whatever you can connect with though Bluetooth!I know there hasn’t been much ever developed beyond Nintendo’s DS series and Wii U console in terms of software that uses a second screen but PLEASE keep these devices around and support companies like Backbone if you want to ever see anything more like that in the future because there was obviously a LOT of love and thought behind this devices development…In terms of normal durability the shell is a very nice light but very tough plastic but the real meat and potatoes is their ecosystem which is the closest thing you will find to Steam for the mobile market at this time…And that is where most of the money and development for these devices seems to go… You’ll find ALPS joysticks known for their shorter than today’s average lifespan which is kinda insane when you can find many $30 controllers with better ones…That might be a tough pill to swallow for its current price of $170 but again that’s just looking at it wrong because the goal here seems to be trying to bring something important to the table in terms of giving you an insanely versatile controller for many possible devices…Just about every smartphone has some maner of ability to rumble and detect whichever direction it’s tilted twords and that in combination with a touchscreen makes these otherwise unassuming devices feel like magic when being used to their fullest potential whenever that’s possible!
